This gallery accompanies my article on the Dolly Sods Wilderness and Scenic Area and the Bear Rocks Preserve in West Virginia.

Summer, looking almost due north from Bear Rocks Preserve at its highest point (about 4,200 feet).
There was about a 40 mph wind, so I steadied my Gitzo tripod with my weight to counteract the pull of the wind.
I couldn't use mirror lock-up.
The light lasted only about two minutes.
